Welcome to Biggar and it's Accordion and Fiddle Club

Nestled at the edge of the borders and the foot of the Southern Upland Hills lies the historic market town of Biggar. This beautiful town is steeped in history and tradition and is famous for it's lively Hogmanay celebrations.

Music and the arts have played a large part in Biggar's heritage and the local Accordion and Fiddle Club is proud to continue with this tradition.

Where and When

Club meetings are held in Biggar Bowling Club at 2:00pm with local musicians encouraged to take to the stage and play traditional music on instruments featuring predominantly accordion and fiddle. A "Special Guest" then performs two 30 minute sets (approx) during the afternoon with the entertainment finishing around 5:30pm

All Welcome

The club, which is a member of The National Association of Accordion and Fiddle Clubs, extends special encouragement for young players and listeners to attend. All players are admitted free and admission charge for non-players  is £5.00. Free admission is also offered to under 16s.
